Disneyland's beloved nighttime show, Fantasmic!, is making a comeback after an unfortunate accident took place during one of its live performances. On Saturday Murphy the Fantasmic Dragon went up in flames, leading to the show's cancellation and the closure of most of the left side of Disneyland park. Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting the show's return with bated breath.
Thanks to Twitter user ExtinctDisney, we now have confirmation that Fantasmic! is set to return on April 28th, 2023, in "B-mode". The show will be presented without Murphy the dragon, with the dragon projected on water screens, or by lifting Melificent up on a podium. While it's not the same without the iconic dragon, the use of water screens and lifting Melificent up adds an exciting new dimension to the show.
Unfortunately, Murphy the dragon will not be making a comeback anytime soon as it was almost completely destroyed in the accident. However, fans can still look forward to experiencing the magic of Fantasmic! once again, with a fresh new take that promises to captivate audiences of all ages.
