Disneyland announced the return of the beloved nighttime spectacular, "Fantasmic!". Starting May 24, 2024, guests will once again witness the magical extravaganza on the Rivers of America.
"Fantasmic!" is a long-running show that features stunning effects, thrilling stunts, dazzling pyrotechnics, and rousing music. It stars Mickey Mouse in his role as the Sorcerer's Apprentice and includes appearances from a host of Disney characters.
This grand-scale show presents daring heroes and epic villains from Disney stories that come to life through soaring music, dozens of live performers, character appearances and state-of-the-art projections. The magic unfolds as Mickey's imagination brings to life scenes from "Beauty and the Beast," "The Little Mermaid," "Aladdin," and more.
Audiences can look forward to new special effects and an exciting new battle scene between Sorcerer Mickey and Maleficent. In addition, the iconic "Peter Pan" scene will make a comeback, replacing the Pirates scene.
The return of "Fantasmic!" comes after a pause in performances due to an unfortunate incident during the final showing in April. A fire broke out on the dragon prop, leading to a swift response from Anaheim Fire & Rescue. Thankfully, the fire was quickly extinguished, and now, with safety measures reinforced, the show is set to dazzle audiences once again.
