Splash Mountain Transforms into Tiana's Bayou Adventure: A Year On and New Merchandise Spotted!

It's been a little over a year since Splash Mountain closed its doors at Walt Disney World to make way for an new experience - Tiana's Bayou Adventure. Disney has begun showcasing Tiana's Bayou Adventure merchandise! The first piece spotted was a Tiana-inspired pin at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, as reported by Twitter user @MickeyBlog_. The back of the pin proudly mentions its purpose for "Celebrating Black History Month."

Black History Month, which begins on February 1st, 2024, seems to be the perfect time to start rolling out this merchandise. Tiana, being Disney's first African-American princess, represents a significant step towards inclusivity and diversity in Disney's legacy. This pin not only celebrates the upcoming attraction but also commemorates an important part of our history.

As we move further into February, it wouldn't be surprising to see more Tiana’s Bayou Adventure merchandise popping up, perhaps even on the west coast at Disneyland.

We can't wait to see what else is in store as we approach the opening of Tiana's Bayou Adventure. Stay tuned for more updates, and remember, dreams do come true in New Orleans!
