Pixar’s Toy Story 5 Set to Hit Theaters in 2026

Pixar has announced that the much-anticipated Toy Story 5 will be released on June 19, 2026. This news has sparked excitement among fans who have been eagerly waiting for the next installment in the beloved franchise.

Disney CEO Bob Iger first announced Toy Story 5 in February 2023. The announcement was met with a warm welcome by many fans of Pixar movies, despite some questioning the necessity of a fifth Toy Story film. Iger revealed during a March 2024 earnings call that both Toy Story 5 and Frozen 3 would be arriving in 2026.

The Toy Story series has been a long-standing success for Pixar, with Toy Story 4 raking in $1.07 billion worldwide when it was released in 2019. These sky-high profits were enough for Pixar to greenlight another sequel featuring Woody, Buzz, and all of our favorite toys.

Tim Allen, who has lent his voice to the character Buzz Lightyear in the previous films, confirmed his return for Toy Story 5. He shared his excitement on social media, hinting at the return of Tom Hanks as Woody. However, the official cast list hasn’t been released yet.

While plot details remain under wraps, the closure Woody and Buzz got in Toy Story 4 has led to speculation that the plot of Toy Story 5 could be split into two parts, possibly intertwining with each other.

As always, we at The Disneyland View will continue to keep a close eye on developments and bring you the latest news as it unfolds. Stay tuned for more updates on Toy Story 5 and all things Disney!
