ESPN is bringing its flagship SportsCenter brand to Disney+ with a brand-new daily show, SC+, set to launch Monday, March 3. The fast-paced program promises to deliver the day’s top sports moments, insider insights, and expert commentary in a streamlined format, targeting both die-hard fans and casual viewers browsing the streaming platform.

The show will lean heavily on the popular “SC Top 10” countdown, a staple of SportsCenter’s 45-year legacy since ESPN’s debut on September 7, 1979. Each episode will spotlight key sports stories, backed by analysis from ESPN’s top reporters, airing live at 9 a.m. ET weekdays and available on-demand for 24 hours. Gary Striewski and Randy Scott, familiar faces from ESPN’s 7 a.m. SportsCenter, will anchor weekdays, while Hannah Storm and Jay Harris take the weekend slots after their SportsCenter:AM duties.

Mike Foss, ESPN’s Senior Vice President of Studio & Entertainment, called it “an absolute honor” to expand the iconic brand to Disney+. “SC+ endeavors to tell the best stories in sports daily in an unforgettable way,” he said, highlighting the creative boost from Disney+’s platform and its broad reach. Alisa Bowen, President of Disney+, added, “ESPN has long defined excellence in sports programming, and now Disney+ subscribers will have daily access to the most exciting sports news, moments, and stories.”

For Disney fans, this move signals a tighter integration of ESPN into the Disney ecosystem—just as the Disneyland Resort gears up for a busy spring season. With SC+ joining a mix of ESPN+ and Hulu content on Disney+, subscribers get live sports, studio shows, and originals alongside their Mickey Mouse fix. Bundle subscribers unlock even more, including over 30,000 live events yearly and ESPN’s full on-demand library.

ESPN’s push into Disney+ also hints at bigger plans, with a full-fledged ESPN streaming service slated for fall 2025. For now, SC+ offers a taste of what’s to come—sports news with a Disney twist, delivered fresh every morning.
