Disneyland Withdraws "Fantasmic!" Performances from Weekend Schedule

Just a few days ago, we reported on the suspension of fire effects during performances of "Fantasmic!" at Disney Parks worldwide, following a fire incident at Disneyland that damaged the show's Maleficent (Murphy) dragon, set, and props. Despite initial hopeful predictions that the show would return soon, it seems that "Fantasmic!" will not be included in the weekend's lineup of events.

According to an statement from a Disneyland, "Right now all nightly viewings of 'Fantasmic!' have been canceled through Sunday, May 6th." It's unclear at this time if this cancellation will extend further beyond that date at this time due to the unknown damage that the fire caused.

As much as we were looking forward to experiencing the magic of "Fantasmic!" once again, we understand that the safety and well-being of guests and cast members must come first. We appreciate Disney's diligence in taking swift action to address the fire incident and ensuring that all fire effects are suspended until further notice.
