Disneyland's Splash Mountain Closing Date Announcement is False

Rumors have been circulating that Disneyland's beloved Splash Mountain will be closing soon, but Disney has yet to make any official announcements. Despite reports of a closing date in May, Disney has not confirmed any plans to close the ride.

The rumors began when an article was published claiming that the ride would be closing on May 7th. However, this information was not confirmed by Disney and the article was later retracted.

The confusion may have arisen due to the fact that Disney did announce plans to retheme Splash Mountain into Tiana's Bayou Adventure, based on The Princess and The Frog. While no official timeline has been given for this project, it is expected that the ride will close at some point in order for construction to begin to stay on time for a late 2024 opening.

In the meantime, guests can still enjoy all of their favorite attractions at Disneyland including Splash Mountain. As always, it is important to double check with Disney before making any travel plans as things can change quickly and without warning.
