Disney CEO Speaks On Second Avatar-Based Land.

During the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media and Telecom Conference today, Disney CEO Bob Iger made a significant announcement regarding the expansion of the Avatar experience within the Disney parks.

“We have one Avatar-based land, Pandora, in Florida. We’re going to put a second one in California,” Iger stated, revealing plans for a new Avatar-themed area in Disneyland, California. This comes as exciting news for Avatar fans and Disney park-goers alike.

The first Avatar-themed land, known as Pandora – The World of Avatar, is located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Florida. Since its opening, it has been a popular attraction, immersing visitors in the lush alien world of Pandora depicted in James Cameron’s blockbuster film, “Avatar.”

The announcement of a second Avatar-themed land in California suggests that Disney is looking to replicate the success of Pandora in Disneyland. While Iger did not disclose specific details about the new project, it is speculated that this could be part of the Disneyland Forward Project, an initiative aimed at expanding and enhancing the Disneyland resort.

There has also been speculation about potential locations for the new Avatar land within Disneyland. One possibility that has been discussed is the transformation of Grizzly Peak, a land in Disney California Adventure Park themed around California’s wilderness.

However, Disney has yet to confirm these speculations. As fans eagerly await more details about the new Avatar land, one thing is certain: this announcement marks an exciting new chapter in the ongoing collaboration between Disney and the Avatar franchise.

Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
